We are part of a group of Churches in the west of St. Andrews Presbytery which includes Falkland & Freuchie, Edenshead and Lindores Parishes as well as ourselves.
We hope to work more closely together as a group practice and draw strength from each other. We share services three times a year - in the spring and autumn when we all gather together in one of the churches for a joint morning service and once in the summer for an evening Songs of Praise service. We also have joint Pilgrimage Walks and a Quiz night and other events together.
As a Cluster we hope that a shared Ministry team will emerge that will help us serve our churches better, involve more lay members in ministries especially pastoral care and leading worship, and help us make better connections with the many communities we serve.
There us now a Facebook page for the Eden-Tay Cluster with up to date information and news.
With our Cluster partners we are taking part in Path of Renewal which is a movement in the Church of Scotland seeking the renewal of our churches and our faith, building on all that has gone before, but seeking God’s guidance for the church for the journey ahead.
Path of Renewal seeks to waken churches and members to the vitality of faith and help us all live out our Christian discipleship in meaningful ways and becoming missional congregations.
Missional congregations are shaped by authentic Christian community and engaging worship; by being engaged with and involved in their local community and by making disciples and encouraging spiritual growth.
To do this we are experimenting with new forms of church and new ways to be disciples. So much of what we have done as church no longer works and we are looking for ways to engage all people in the journey of faith and spirituality.
Maybe you would like to join us on the journey and be part of something. We’re open to ideas and experiments…
